As more and more functionality was added to HotDog Pro, we had to look for a way of making all of it easily accessible. Menus are too time-consuming. Toolbars, though ideal for most editing functions, aren't powerful enough for really involved tasks. The Sausage solution was to develop resource panels that are controlled by a Resource Manager.
A resource panel is a floating, re-sizable window that groups similar resources and functionality into the same place. Each resource panel performs a specific set of tasks related to website authoring.
The table below displays all the great resource panels controlled by HotDog Pro's Resource Manager:
So that you only use the resources that you need during the website development process, our HotDog Team created 5 different resource panel configurations that you can use:
FTP Configuration: This displays the Local Files and Internet Files resource panels.
Websites Configuration: This displays the Local Files and Websites resource panels.
Tags Configuration: This displays the HTML Property Sheet and HTML Tags resource panels.
Macro Configuration: This displays the MultiLine Clipboard and the Macro Editor resource panels.
Alternatively, to conform to your own website development style, all
resource panels can be opened/closed individually. By default, each
resource panel is docked to the left/right of the editing window, but
can be moved and re-sized to your individual preference. You can also
quickly hide/display your resource panels at any time simply by
clicking on ,
located in the View toolbar, and selecting from the drop-down list
(arrow to the right of the button) the panel that you wish to hide/display.
